Rest for the weary…

Over the past few weeks I’ve been getting some much-needed R&R. I spent a week on the beach in North Carolina with my family where we were able to see two nests of baby sea turtles hatch and make their way to the ocean. It was really neat.

The following week, however, wasn’t so relaxing. My grandfather passed away, so that week was full of relatives and lots of emotion. It’s during difficult time like those though, that one really learns to appreciate their family even if they are big, loud, and emotional. It’s unfortunate that it takes something like a death to bring us all together.

I have managed to squeeze in some shopping, time with friends and family, and even an occasional workout on my new Wii Fit! I feel refreshed and so thankful to have had this time to visit and bond and relax. But now it’s back to the real world. If only I had a job to get back to… :)
